2010 is proving to be quite a busy year …

2010 is proving to be quite a busy year yet again for The Record Plant Family. Pick up a copy of the November 2010 issue of Mix Magazine to catch a glimpse of our amazing President, Rose Mann-Cherney, she is featured on the cover and throughout the magazine giving insight from the past to the present of the industry.

While our regular clients such as Ron Fair continue making appearances, we have a few newcomers on the scene. If you’re dying to get a peek inside with the likeness of some of the Greats, check out LMFAO’s “Getting Over You” featuring David GuettaFergieChris Willis or EminemLil Wayne‘s “No Love” music videos.

We kicked off the year promoting our Chief Engineer,Jason Carson to Vice President of Operations. Congratulations Jason! Well deserved.

Then when it comes to our clients, we have had everyone from Lady Gaga tracking in SSL 3 with Red One, to Pharrellproducing the soundtrack to “Despicable Me” in SSL 2, then we had the pleasure of hosting Lionel RichieQuincy JonesRed One in SSL 1 for the mixing of the newest version of “We Are The World” for Haiti.

Chris Brown & Soulja Boy have been working hard in SSL 4.  While The Black Eyed Peas favor SSL 3, Luis Miguel elected for the same studio to work on his current album “Labios se Miel” with engineers Moogie CanazioDave ReitzasJennifer Lopez opted to work with Dream on her new album in SSL 3 too.  Our longtime friends Cypress Hill popped in to work on their new album produced by the famed Jim Jonsin from Miami.  Alicia Keys was in from New York working with her engineer Ann Mincieli, while Ron IsleyJohn Legend & Jamie Fox also popped in for some tracking.

The Record Plant is constantly bustling with film crews as well. Universal Pictures used the entire studio to shoot scenes for upcoming movie “Hop” starring the hilarious Chelsea Handler, thenCBS films scenes for “Faster” in SSL 4 tracking the choir.

And of course we all like to rock out to electric beats from the likes of Steve Angello for Swedish House Mafia who enjoys mixing here in addition to The Def Jam Writing Camp up in The DigiPlant for three months. American Idol likes to belt out the hits here also. The celebrated Quincy Jones gets quite a lot of studio time producing tracks for B.O.B. & T.I.
